Located in beautiful Bucks County, Pennsylvania, this non-profit member-run organization is comprised of about 100 active members looking for ways to have fun and to share the experience. Founded in 1949, our primary focus remains directed toward the sport of snow skiing and snowboarding, complimented by various year-round activities that include biking, guided nature tours, picnics, sailing, wine-tasting tours, attending special events, and any other adventure that can be shared and enjoyed with interesting people who share similar interests.
Bucks County Ski Club is an active member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Ski Council, an organization comprised of 36 member clubs encompassing an area within a radius of 60 miles of the city of Philadelphia. We are proud to say that in the past decade we have been voted "Ski Club of the Year" by our fellow clubs for our service to and the promotion of skiing and ski interests in our local area.
New skiers may take advantage of 6 Mondays of free Monday night ski lessons, beginning the first Monday in January.
Ski trip planning. Each year in the spring, our volunteer board of directors reviews a list of proposed trips and approves those that the club will support for the upcoming ski season. These will generally include at least one out west, weekend trips to New York/New England, and local trips to one of the many areas in the Pocono Mountains. Bucks County Ski Club seeks members who would like to become active board members. Use your creative tallents to provide fun and instructive activities for our members.
Meetings, our general meetings occure three times in the fall and four times in the spring on the second Wednesday. The meetings consist of a cocktail hour, dinner, from a varied menue, club meeting and a presentation from a variety of topics. PLease see our Liftline, news letter.
